Next time you look at your watch before you are about to have your first libation of the day, remember this article. I’m here to tell everyone that day drinking is much safer than the alternative. You won’t ever want to leave your house after dark when you find out all the benefits of day drinking!
Why Day Drinking is Where It’s At!
Let’s start with the obvious just for those who aren’t up to speed: day drinking is when you drink during the day. This habit was once reserved for football games and days spent on a boat, but as we enter 2022, day drinking is totally more accepted, and in my case, encouraged, over the alternative. I’m going to give you many reasons why this is 100% true that you can keep in your back pocket the next time your wife is appalled at how early you started catching a buzz.
Reasons Why Day Drinking is Better
#1: Life is Too Short to Wait for the Evening
If a guy wants to crack a cold beer during the day, why the heck can’t he? We miss out on so many opportunities in life while waiting for things to happen. Why wait until night, when the day brings opportunity?
#2: Public Safety
I’m not going to sit here and urge you to drive while drinking, actually, I’m telling you to NOT do that. But, let’s just say the police usually aren’t suspicious of people having too many cold ones during the day when compared to the evening. Your leash will be a bit longer and unless you are acting up or smell like alcohol, if you happen to be stopped, you will be less likely to be probed for drinking and driving. Again, DON’T DO THAT. We have many ride share companies that can get you safely to wherever you are going.
3#: Evenings are Amateur Hour
Let’s face it, Saturday night at the bar is for the birds. It’s for people who CAN’T drink any other time, largely because of their ball and chain or their office job. Have you ever noticed how many people are out of control drunk at night? Puking, falling down, and trying to fight people is nothing I want to be around. (Not that I judge or haven’t had too many from time to time!)
#4: More Recovery Time
Let’s say you have a meeting the next day at 11:00 AM. Would you rather tie one on at night and have less time to recover for that meeting? Or, would you rather drink all day, get to bed at a decent hour, and allow yourself time to sleep it off and get hydrated so you can be fully prepared? The choice is obvious, and if you partake in day time drinking, you’ll be a lot less likely to have to take Cheers Pills for your hangover.
#5: Potential to Meet Successful People
This is the one that gets it for me. Do you know how many times I’ve been day drinking on a Tuesday and met people who were uber successful? I’d say at least a baker’s dozen. The average person with a 9-5 simply can’t partake in day drinking because they are locked down in an office. Millionaires, business owners, and shot callers, on the other hand, can start and end their party whenever they damn well please.
Living in Florida, I day drink because of the weather. However, I did grow up in a cold climate and that never stopped me from starting early. I just find that the people who are doing the normal routine stuff are the ones that are NOT killing it in life. Buck the ordinary, and be different.
End of rant. Time for a tequila so I can get this day drinking started before noon!
